| This kit will benefit you in two ways. Most importantly it will give your rear suspension 4 more inches of clearance between the rear brake caliper and the battery. (photo's above show this to be true). This is more of a problem with people with after market suspension with added travel. Secondly, it will allow you to remove your rear fenders with out removing the battery. This is very handy for maintenance and cleaning. This kit was in the design stages for several months and several weeks went into the testing of this product also. To install this kit, you will be required to trim away the OEM battery tray from your rear fenders. Designed to house the OEM battery only. The box itself is manufactured from .125" 5052 aluminum that is both formed and then tig welded together. We also integrated (3) steel removable mounting brackets that mount the battery box to your subframe. We felt the use of steel brackets over aluminum gave the box a much stronger mount with a zero failure rate. The inside of the box is lined with .25" foam to protect your battery from damage and an .25" aluminum top clamp is also included to secure the top of battery into the box. Drain holes are also built into the bottom of the box. The box and brackets are also powder coated. You can choose a variety of colors below to match your application.
